This is my fourth and last child and my first time taking maternity pictures so they had to be perfect. One of my best friends is a photographer and together we came up with some great ideas for the shoot. I love it when you have an image in your head and the actual photos turn out better than you hoped. Andrea did that for me. I am so excited to put these on my wall!

Fly A Kite Nursery For My Baby Girl
It's finally done. I practically went into early labor trying to finish it but I finally did with 3 weeks to spare! Now all I need is my little baby girl for it to be complete.
As with all the rooms I design, I start with an inspiration and for this room it was the patchwork wall that I saw done with wall paper on Pinterest. I couldn't find any I liked so I decided to make it my own and do fabric wrapped around foam board. I found the perfect fabric line at Pine Needles called "Fly A Kite" by Riley Blake Designs. Growing up my family always flew kites on windy days so I loved the theme of it and decided it was perfect for the room. Here it is:
The rocker is a real antique from the early 1900's I bought at an antique store called Aunt Elsie's Trinkets and Treasures. I was going to paint it but my hubby talked me out of it and now I'm happy I didn't. The seat pad and picture frame collage waiting for baby pics is from Pier One.
Yes, I made the kite, all the bedding, and the window seat cover.
Got this absolutely FABULOUS chest at a store called Down To Earth. It's one of my favorite things in the room!
The night my husband and I first kissed was when he took me to see "Les Miserables". It seemed fitting to name our last baby girl Cozette. I also have over 500 Cozettes in my family ancestry. Her nickname is "Coco".
Got the old window at a consignment store called Home Again, lined the back with the same fabric as bedding, and then mounted the picture frames on the front with Command picture hanging strips. Now I just need pics of my baby to put in them!
Bear is Pottery Barn and yarn doll is Blabla. The ruffle pillows are Pier One and the floral textured ones are Sweet Brier Hollow in Draper.
Found these perfect candelabras above the crib at Sweet Brier Hollow and the floor lamp at Pier One. I added the ruffles to the lamp shade to soften it for the room.

I recovered all the knobs on the crib drawers with left over fabric scraps.
That is it! So excited for my Coco to get here. I do have photo tutorials of how I covered the wall and made some things that I will post later for those interested in how I did it :)
