I had a really rough week. I'm feeling a little discouraged like I'm posting my photography for nothing. The reason I post pictures is because I honestly love to hear what others think whether we know each other or not. Lately, I haven't been getting much so I feel like there is no one out there. I just keep getting these stupid spam comments. I don't expect people to comment every time, I myself don't. I just think once in a while it's nice to know people are out there and like what they see. It's probably just the hard week I've had talking right now wanting some validation but I think everyone could use a little love once in a while.
I hate doing posts without a picture so here is one of my favs from my 365 challenge I am doing.

here is some love for your blog! I love your work! its AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteHey Suzanne, I check your blog every week when I'm at work but my computer is so slow that I don't generally comment. Like always, your stuff is AMAZING (I especially love the Newborn session in the previous post). Keep up the good work & have a better week! :)
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, this picture is adorable. Second of all, for months I looked at your blog everyday just to see if you updated. Finally I got smart and added you to my blog list so I could just look at my blog to see if you updated and now I just look at it when you update instead of every single day :). I love all your pictures! I certainly haven't been good about making comments though. I guess I just never did because I figured you either wanted comments from other photographers or really close friends, of which I am neither, but if you want opinions from any plain Jane, I can definitely give my input. I love your work and I can't wait till I have a reason to hire you again!
ReplyDeleteI'm there with you! I don't get a lot of comments...probably because I should comment more. So here I am :) Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI'll give you some comment love... This is a FUN shot, I love the concept and it was well executed. It's good that you have access to such willing partners/victims in your shooting sprees. :)
ReplyDeleteSuzanne, I love this picture "Yeah, pants on the ground". So funny!!!!! lololo And don't be concerned why people sometimes stop or are not commenting as much as you would like to. I am and you should be prety sure that there are lots of people that are always stalking you here. Check on your number of visits in the morning and check that out again in the evening. Anyways, you are great!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am a recent beginner photographer and I just got my first SLR camera before christmas. I came across your blog around that time and I have to say I absolutely love your style. I wish I had some tips on how you edit so perfectly. You are just amazing, thanks for sharing your photos. -shonee
ReplyDeleteI totally know how you feel! Except I guarantee you have way more fans and readers than I do. :) You really are such a talented photographer! I love this adorable shoot, too, by the way. Keep up the great work! I check your blog all the time.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what your favorite portrait lens is for outdoor/on-location work, especially for individuals or small groups. I have the 50mm 1.4 and the 24-70mm 2.8, but I'm debating which I should get next: the 85mm, 105mm, or the 70-200mm?
I love your blog, I check you out often. Not even sure if you remember me, but I am Amanda Oaks SIL. Love your stuff.
ReplyDeleteI love you miss!!! But you know that since I comment on just about every post...haha :) I hear ya though...my comments have died off too :(
ReplyDeleteI have definitely found that comments seem to come in waves or when something really has a reason for conversation. Most of the time posts just get enjoyed and people move on. I know I am typically a non-commenter for most of what I read, though I am still enjoying the content.
ReplyDeleteYour sites are in my RSS reader, so I catch them every day or two when I catch up on reading. I always admire your creativity, ideas and talent.
Just remember that for every person that comments there are usually dozens of people that enjoyed but didn't have anything to say :)
I really should remember to comment more. I am always wanting to see comments on my blogs but I just assume the only people that read mine are my wife and my grandma. Perhaps if I comment more on others karma will kick in. Your pictures are great and I plan on asking you a lot more questions about your set ups. Thanks for sharing your talent.
ReplyDeleteGees never for one moment feel discouraged. Your work is awesome and inspiring, so much so that at the ripe ol age of 49 I have been inspired by you to start taking photos. I love it! I just wish I could be where you are in a year's time. Keep inspiring us!! Not confident to join the 365 challenge yet though.
ReplyDeleteHey girl, I love your blog! I got smart and subscribed to it, so I look at each and every new lovely post and picture. Your a beautiful photograher! Thank you for your honesty and your inspiration and your normalness (in being a mom, a photographer, etc...)Great pictures, keep up the fabulousness!
ReplyDeleteBecause we don't have cable, I didn't understand your picture for a while. I FINALLY watched AI and 'get it' now. Soooo cute! You are so creative and fun - Love you girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteSuzanne,
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. I am photographer also and I love to see comments. I find I'm hardly ever leaving comments on other blogs so maybe i should more and then I might get some back.

Although I do admit...I'm sometimes guilty of being a silent blog stocker myself!:) Seriously though Suzanne... you do amazing work... and I'm not just saying that! I get excited to look at your 365 days blog to see what new perspective you've captured for the day.
